REset Plastic

REset Plastic

Our strategic approach

Lidl Cyprus has pledged to further cut plastics by 20% and to ensure that 100% of its own-brand packaging will be recyclable by 2025.

These measures are part of REset Plastic, the international strategy of the Schwarz group for plastics, in which Lidl Cyprus participates.

The Schwarz Group, which owns the Lidl and Kaufland retail chains and is one of the largest trading companies internationally, recognizes and assumes its environmental responsibility. Under the REset Plastic initiative, it has developed a holistic, international strategy that encompasses five action areas: reduce, (re)design, recycle, remove and research.  This reduces the use of plastic and closes the loop thus promoting the circular economy.
