Lidl Cyprus is going ahead with a priority shopping time zone initiative with the aim of facilitating better access for consumers over the age of 65 as well as people with disabilities to its stores.

The Priority shopping time zone Initiative will be in effect as from Thursday 19 March 2020 and will run daily, Monday to Saturday from 7am to 10am and Sunday from 8am to 10am in all of the 17 Lidl Cyprus stores network. Consumers are also kindly requested to follow instructions by security partners at store entrances.

"During difficult times, we work even more collectively and in solidarity with our fellow citizens who are in need of more care. However, our initiative cannot be implemented without consumer understanding, and we therefore urge everyone to contribute to its implementation. Let us give priority to these fellow citizens and assist them in making their necessary purchases in safety,” said Vassiliki Adamidou, Lidl Cyprus Communications, Corporate Responsibility and Social Media Manager.

At the same time and in order to safeguard public health, Lidl Cyprus applies all of its specific legislative directives in its stores.
